Nike Sverige needed a new social media proposition in order to become more present for audiences and to build greater local relevance.
In June 2015, River launched Nike’s fourth local Instagram handle, hot on the heels of Nike NYC, Rio and London. Nike Sweden’s categories are now united under one social media umbrella for the first time.
We created an Instagram handle strategy, a creative direction, and set the account up to launch. The result is @nikesverige – uniting the best of Nike Sweden across all categories and locations through local storytelling.
In less than a year, @nikesverige has featured a broad variation of sports moments and influencer collaborations, rapid reaching over 30,000 followers. It has also been ranked in the top 1+ of Sweden’s most engaging Instagram accounts.
