Tryckindustri was established in Solna by Erik Lindberg

The company quickly established itself as a quality printing house, and set the foundation for among other things, a 40 year collaboration with LM Ericsson.



Intellecta was founded by Richard Ohlson and Lars-Peder Hedberg

With an initial focus on editorial communication, the company’s first assignment was editorial design and production of Eurocard’s customer magazine. From here, the company developed quickly in both scope and direction.


Stockholm Stock Exchange

Tryckindustri was introduced on the Stockholm stock exchange (OTC) on May 8, 1990.



Tryckindustri acquired Intellecta

In August 2000, Tryckindustri acquired Intellecta, aiming to expand into strategic consulting. In October of the same year, the parent company changed its name to Intellecta AB. The company now had two business areas; Infolog (the printing part) and Consulting.



A strategy of growth

As part of its growth strategy, Intellecta acquired more companies in both business areas and grew organically by opening new offices:

2004: Bysted

2006: Rewir

2008: Hilanders and Ekotryck Redners

2010: Bodén & Co Kommunikation was acquired and Rewir opened an office in Shanghai



Digital becomes more important

Intellecta entered into a joint-venture with Danish web agency Propeople.


Digital focus for Intellecta in new corporate strategy

The aim was to focus Intellecta’s operation and streamline the offerings while significantly increasing the share of digital revenue and services.

August: Business Area Infolog was divested to the equity fund Accent Equity 2012.

August: Wow by Rewir was launched to clarify the event offering.

October – December: Intellecta’s digital offering was strengthened by the acquisitions of the Danish web agency Propeople, and Swedish digital agency River Cresco.



Continuing to streamline operations and digitally transforming Intellecta while delivering on strategic milestones

August: Unreel was launched to meet the accelerating demands for film and motion media.

September: Intellecta opened an office in Berlin via Propeople.

September: Isbit Games was launched as a spin-off to River. Isbit is a gaming studio developing games and games for marketing.

October: Chainbizz, a Danish Sitecore agency, was acquired via Propeople to strengthen Intellecta’s CMS offering.

November: More geographical markets were opened. Hilanders opened an office in Shanghai and River established a wholly owned subsidiary in Amsterdam.



April: Blink Reaction, a leading American Drupal company was acquired and became part of the Intellecta Group April 1st

May: FFW, the world’s leading Open Source/Drupal consultants is launched. Intellecta-owned Propeople Group, Bysted A/S and Blink Reaction LLC come together to form a new global digital agency under the common brand FFW (Friends from Work).



ISBIT GAMES issued new shares to secure further expansion and Zlatan Ibrahimovic acquired 12.5 per cent of ISBIT GAMES, via company.

Intellecta reorganized to build stronger customer teams and merged Rewir with Intellecta Corporate. The Rewir brand remains within the Group and Rewir’s customers will continue to be served by Rewir’s employees, from sister agencies and with the support of colleagues from other agencies within the Group.
